Founded in 2018 by Alexander John, One Ten Media is a media production that prides itself on bringing stories to life. Based in Beverly Hills, California, One Ten Media recently opened the doors of a new location in Stockholm, Sweden, before the 2024 launch of their in-house post-production boutique. This new venture, One Ten Post, will be helmed by acclaimed director Chris Applebaum.
One Ten Media works on projects that range from digital media creation to video. They have worked on various projects, including city-spanning advertising campaigns that put eye-catching ads in carefully chosen spaces, as well as fully produced television commercials and video features for fashion icons. Their most distinguished recent work has been with brands such as Vogue, Netflix, and Mercedes Benz. The project that put them on the map came in 2019 when they worked on Kendall and Kylie Jenner’s brand, Kendall+Kylie, which is sold in PacSun. From there, the company’s success has accelerated.
They have worked with stars like Sydney Sweeney, Heidi Klum, Zoe Saldana, Naomi Campbell, and Jessica Alba. New directions of expansion are rapidly opening. One Ten Media proudly declares that they have begun to work on feature films in Hollywood. Their first batch of produced films will be released in 2024.
This makes it a great time to open not only a new international location in Stockholm but also a new company with a complete focus on post-production: One Ten Post. The new head of One Ten Media’s director’s department, Chris Applebaum, will be a key figure in the success of these many new ventures. A renowned director of music videos, Applebaum is most recently known for his work with Brittany Spears, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, and more, but he has been an industry mover for decades.
Applebaum brings a wealth of experience with him to One Ten Media. He began his career in 1991 as the youngest director ever signed to Satellite Films, for whom he produced hundreds of films. He founded his record label, produced television commercials, and produced music videos that have gone on to dominate their target market and have a worldwide influence. The music video Applebaum produced for Rihanna’s “Umbrella” is an iconic work that won him the 2007 VMA Video of the Year award. Applebaum’s professional goals have brought him to One Ten Media, where he can continue to create market-distinguishing videos.
This new movement in One Ten Media’s long story will likely accelerate its expansion and influence in the market. With an increasingly impressive profile of famed collaborators and with some of the company’s most ambitious projects about to be released in the coming year, One Ten Media is set to grow significantly soon to expand globally by 2030. A new location and new business are symbols of the spirit of growth and the great aspirations at work inside the company. As a business that has found success by enabling artists to collaborate on projects focused on storytelling, it is fitting that One Ten Media is becoming so storied itself.
