From dreams of entering the world of entertainment to being raised in challenging circumstances, Keith Sanks embarked on a different path by joining the military, a decision that would shape his character and provide invaluable experiences. At the age of 21, Keith enlisted in the Navy, where he honed his skills in electronic warfare and anti-ship missile defense on board the USS Vandegrift (FFG-48) from 2008 to 2011. Keith’s journey continued as he served in signals intelligence at Navy Information Operations Command Colorado between 2012 and 2014, followed by a stint in cyber warfare operations at Navy Information Operations Command Hawaii from 2015 to 2018.

After serving years in the military service and being awarded various medals, Kieth transitioned to DoD contracting, working closely with the Air Force and Space Force. Throughout his career, Keith maintained a desire to return to his initial passion for entertainment. Moving to Los Angeles, he finally pursued acting and producing, culminating in the realization of a long-held dream with Kieth’s first film, “Love & Marriage,” produced in December 2023.

Keith Banks decided to write a book about his life experiences. “I’m Here to Offend” is Keith’s personal memoir, a candid narrative of his journey from childhood dreams of entering the entertainment world to the challenges that he faced growing up. Despite Keith’s early aspirations, he chose a different path and enlisted in the Navy at the age of 21. Serving aboard the USS Vandegrift (FFG-48) and later specializing in electronic warfare and cyber operations provided me with invaluable experiences that shaped my character.

“I’m Here to Offend” is a testament to resilience, perseverance, and the pursuit of dreams against all odds. It’s a raw and honest account of the twists and turns of Keith Banks’ life, offering insights into personal growth, identity, and the courage to embrace change.
