Released on July 23, Try Anything is more than just a debut single for Tina Win. It’s the first entry in a music career that has been designed with a sense of ownership from the outset, a decision shaped by her years of work behind the scenes in fashion and editorial media.
Before turning to music, Win held positions at Allure and Cosmopolitan, where she was involved in trend forecasting, content development, and industry events. These experiences have informed her approach to music not just as a creative outlet, but as a structured body of work, one with a future in licensing, cross-platform integration, and long-term valuation.
Produced by Joey Auch, Try Anything introduces the sonic identity of her upcoming EP, slated for a fall release. The song’s production is straightforward and efficient, driven by clean instrumentation and unembellished vocals. There’s no intentional mystery, no manufactured vulnerability. Instead, there’s clarity and a refusal to dilute intent for the sake of mass palatability.
Her label, Tina Win Music LLC, owns all master and distribution rights to the release. This isn’t an act of rebellion, nor is it part of an anti-industry narrative. It’s a practical choice, aligned with a wider trend in which artists structure their output not only for expression, but for functional reusability in commercial environments. As sync licensing continues to shape a growing portion of independent revenue streams, projects like Win’s represent a new kind of self-direction, one that speaks to both the realities of the current market and the adaptability required within it.
In support of the release, Tina performed a private two-song set at CHOWK NYC on July 24. The event was framed as an opportunity for media and potential collaborators to encounter the live aspect of her work. It was brief by design, reflecting a controlled rollout rather than a promotional push.
To further contextualize her visual presentation, she partnered with photographer Andres Hernandez to develop a new image library for press, sync, and editorial use. The decision mirrors her approach to music: each asset is crafted not just for now, but for potential reuse, alignment, and modularity.
Try Anything
As Tina Win continues developing her EP and future visual materials, she does so with a dual lens, one that considers the artist’s voice, and the architecture that supports it.
