In a world often clouded by uncertainty, George Spiteri’s story shines as a beacon of faith, resilience, and divine inspiration. At 81 years old, this remarkable man from the island of Gozo in Malta has lived a life that bridges the natural and the spiritual, the earthly and the divine. His journey, detailed in his book, Jesus Christ Is Returning Soon, is one of profound experiences, personal discoveries, and a deep commitment to sharing what he believes is a critical message for humanity. Through his book and his life’s work, Spiteri seeks to prepare the world for the imminent return of Jesus Christ, offering a perspective grounded in scripture and enriched by his extraordinary life.

A Life Shaped by Faith and Resilience

Born on July 23, 1944, in Gozo, one of the Maltese islands, George Spiteri’s early life was steeped in the simplicity and beauty of rural living. Growing up in a farmhouse, he tended sheep and explored the valleys of his homeland, where he developed a deep connection with nature. “I used to scout around for wild herbs,” he recalls, a practice that would later shape his career as a naturopath. These early experiences, surrounded by the natural world, instilled in him a respect for creation and a curiosity about its deeper meanings.

Spiteri’s path to Australia began in the 1960s, following the footsteps of his father, who had lived there before World War II. “My father always told me, if you don’t succeed as a priest, make sure you go back to Australia,” he shares. Initially training to become a Catholic priest in a seminary, Spiteri ultimately chose a different path, leaving the priesthood to explore a broader calling. Arriving in Australia just under 20 years old, he embraced the opportunities of his new home, working various jobs, including operating trucks, before returning briefly to Malta to serve in government work.

His professional life took a remarkable turn when he pursued naturopathy, studying herbs and even acupuncture at Shandong University in China, where he made a discovery significant enough to be included in their curriculum. “I discovered something in their acupuncture system they didn’t even know,” he says proudly. This expertise led him to create herbal medicines in his own laboratory, even developing a treatment for leukemia that he claims saved many lives. His work as a naturopath reflects his belief in the healing power of nature, a principle he sees as aligned with divine creation.

A Divine Encounter and a Mission Born

Spiteri’s life took a dramatic turn on December 23, 1990, an event that would define his spiritual mission. While cutting concrete, he accidentally severed his femoral artery, a life-threatening injury. As blood poured out, he lay on the ground, aware that death was imminent. “I knew how long I had left,” he recounts. In that moment of desperation, he prayed, echoing the words of Jesus: “Father, if I can still be of service, keep me alive.” What followed was nothing short of miraculous. Spiteri claims Jesus Christ appeared, guiding his hand to pinch the artery and stop the bleeding. “When I turned to say thank you, He was gone,” he says, his voice still tinged with awe.

This near-death experience, coupled with a subsequent moment on the operating table where he “died” for seven and a half minutes, solidified his belief in his divine purpose. “I started walking into a tunnel,” he recalls, but the pleas of those around him and his earlier prayer brought him back. This profound encounter inspired his book, a project he initially envisioned as an article but which grew into a comprehensive work driven by divine inspiration. “I used to wake up in the middle of the night with ideas,” he explains, emphasizing that the book is a warning and preparation for the return of Jesus Christ.

The Message of the Book

Spiteri’s book, Jesus Christ Is Returning Soon, tackles a provocative question with a scriptural foundation. He asserts that all humanity, regardless of race, can trace its origins back to Adam and Eve, with the black race emerging while they were still alive. “I discovered their origin in the Bible,” he says, pointing to genealogical charts he includes in the book that trace both white and black lineages. He also delves into the preservation of the black race during Noah’s flood, citing discoveries like a billboard with inscriptions by Noah found in Turkey.

Central to the book is Spiteri’s belief in an 8,000-year divine plan, where each millennium corresponds to a day in God’s timeline, as referenced in 2 Peter 3:8. He warns that we are nearing the end of the sixth millennium, a period ruled by Satan, and that Jesus Christ’s return is imminent, ushering in a seventh millennium of peace. “Ninety percent of this present population is going to perish within ten years,” he states, a sobering prediction backed by his interpretation of Revelation and other scriptures. His message is urgent: humanity must repent, live by the Ten Commandments, and prepare for the coming tribulation and Christ’s return.

Spiteri’s book also addresses the concept of original sin, explaining how it is passed through human conception but that Jesus Christ, conceived without a human father, was free from this sin. He emphasizes the importance of proper baptism, modeled after Christ’s immersion in the Jordan River, as a prerequisite for receiving God’s Holy Spirit. “My baptism 50 years ago was like Christ’s,” he says, claiming a spiritual brotherhood with Jesus through this act.

A Call to All Nations

Spiteri’s mission is global. “I want this book to go to every nation on earth,” he declares, driven by a desire to warn and educate people about the coming judgment. He draws on biblical prophecies, such as the battle in the Valley of Megiddo described in Revelation, where Christ will confront His enemies. He also references the Azure Window in Gozo, a 32-meter geological formation that collapsed into the sea seven years ago, which he believes fulfills a prophecy attributed to the Apostle Paul about Christ’s return.

His book is not just a theological treatise but a personal testament to his faith. Spiteri recounts how his life experiences, from surviving German bombings during World War II to his miraculous recovery in 1990, have reinforced his belief in a living God. He sees himself as an ambassador for Christ, tasked with sharing truths he believes have been hidden from humanity. “Satan has deceived the whole world,” he warns, quoting Revelation 12:9, urging readers to discern the truth and align their lives with God’s commandments.

A Legacy of Faith and Healing

Beyond his spiritual mission, Spiteri’s life as a naturopath reflects his commitment to healing. His discovery of a sacred herb guarded by the Knights of Malta, used in his leukemia treatment, underscores his belief in the harmony between nature and divine will. “I grew up in a natural atmosphere,” he says, contrasting it with today’s artificial interventions. His holistic approach to health mirrors his spiritual philosophy: both require returning to the purity of God’s creation.

Now living on a pension in Australia, Spiteri remains active in his mission, driven by a sense of urgency. “I start crying when I see so many people, knowing ninety percent won’t be here in ten years,” he says, his voice heavy with emotion. His book, backed by scripture and enriched with personal anecdotes, is his way of reaching out to a world he believes is on the brink of transformation.
